At Aesthetic Lab, we offer the best lip filler treatments, expertly administered by our amazing Houston team.

For many, the idea of lip enhancements might seem exciting, but if you’re an anxious person like me – then I bet you think it’s intimidating. Before I joined the talented team at our Houston Med Spa, I was also a little skeptical on what to expect. Having seen so many procedures of lip fillers and so many happy customers, I’m here to share not only the technical side of things but also the more meaningful side of the different types of lip augmentations. Let’s get you those luscious, pillowy lips you’ve always wanted. But first – here are the most commonly asked questions!

Lip Fillers – Questions and Answers

How much do lip fillers cost in Houston?

Lip fillers cost $575 – $800 depending on the provider and treatment. More on this below!

What is the difference between lip fillers and lip injections?

Lip fillers and lip injections are essentially the same thing. They both refer to the process of injecting a dermal filler, usually hyaluronic acid, into the lips to add volume, smooth out lip lines, and create a plumper, more youthful appearance.

How long does a lip filler treatment last?

The results of lip filler injections typically last around 3-6 months, depending on factors such as the type of filler used, the individual’s metabolism, and lifestyle habits.

What can I expect after getting lip fillers?

After receiving lip injections, it’s normal to experience some swelling and bruising around the injection sites. This usually subsides within a few days to a week. You may also feel some tenderness or firmness in the treated area, but this will gradually soften as the filler settles into place. It’s important to avoid massaging or applying pressure to the lips during the healing process to ensure the best possible results.

Is lip augmentation right for me?

The best way to determine if lip enhancement is right for you is to schedule a consultation with one of our experienced injectors at Aesthetic Lab. They will assess your facial structure, listen to your concerns, and help you develop a personalized treatment plan to achieve your desired aesthetic goal.

How do lip fillers compare to plastic surgery?

Lip fillers offer a non-surgical alternative to plastic surgery procedures such as lip lifts or implants. Dermal filler treatments are minimally invasive, relatively affordable, and require little to no downtime. They allow for gradual, customizable enhancement and can be easily adjusted or reversed if needed. Ultimately, the choice between lip fillers and plastic surgery depends on your individual preferences, goals, and lifestyle.

The Art & Science of Lip Fillers in Houston

My first day at Aesthetic Lab, I walked in to the Med Spa thinking I had a decent grasp on dermal fillers, and all things related. After working with the experts here, I quickly realized that it wasn’t just about injecting a mysterious potion to achieve fuller lips. It was an art form. A science. I’m talking years of practicing and perfecting, and most importantly a means to help someone leave the Medical Spa feeling more confident and beautiful than when they arrived.

I recognize the importance people place on following the latest trends and trying to fit into society’s standards of beauty. However, our approach is different. We strive to help your unique light shine through by embracing your distinctive features and enhancing them in the most beautiful way possible. Our goal is to help you feel confident and radiant by bringing out the best in you, rather than conforming to a one-size-fits-all beauty treatment.

Lip Enhancements – Not Just Fillers!

Is there more to lip fillers? Absolutely! It’s 2024, and keeping up with the latest trends is kinda sorta like, our jam! Here are some ways we can mix and match several techniques to create your perfect pout:

Lip Fillers

Lip fillers are popular because they can change the shape and size of your lips in a way that looks and feels natural, fuller and more defined (if done correctly).  Most lip fillers use hyaluronic acid, which is a substance your body makes that keeps your skin moisturized and plump.

One of the good things about hyaluronic acid fillers is that they can be dissolved if you don’t like how your lips look after the injection. These fillers can also make your lips more even, smooth out lip lines – giving you the exact shape you want.

The benefits last between 3-6 months and sometimes more, depending on the type you get and how quickly your body breaks it down. The process is pretty quick and easy, and you can see the results right away. There are some risks, like swelling, bruising, or uneven lips, which usually go away within a week.

Lip Flip

The lip flip is a new, simple technique that improves the appearance of the lips without using fillers. It involves injecting small amounts of Botox or Dysport into the muscle around the mouth, causing the upper lip to relax and roll slightly outward. This creates the illusion of fuller, more noticeable lips in a subtle, natural-looking way by revealing more of the pink of your lip, creating the look of a bigger smile without adding volume. This can also last for several months, making it a popular choice for those looking to improve their smile with minimal invasiveness.

It is important to note that a lip flip is a subtle enhancement and does not add any substance into the lips like the dermal fillers. So if you’re looking for more dramatic results or longer-lasting effects, lip fillers or surgical lip augmentation may be the better choice.

Gummy Smile Fix

A gummy smile treatment done with Botox is a procedure that helps to reduce the appearance of excessive gum tissue when smiling. It’s a non-surgical option for people who feel self-conscious about showing too much of their gums when they smile. Small amounts of Botox is injected into the muscles that lift the upper lip and it temporarily weakens these muscles’ ability to lift the lip too high. This allows the upper lip’s movement to be limited, reducing the amount of gum exposure when smiling.

The Cost, Specials and Benefits of Lip Fillers

The cost of lip enhancement treatments at Aesthetic Lab ranges from $575 to $800, depending on the injector you choose. We do post promotions from time-to-time, so make sure you’re following our Instagram page!  We love giving back and offering great deals to make our services more affordable.

For newbies in the filler world, I specifically recommend a follow-up visit a month after the treatment. This is because a single syringe of filler doesn’t fit everyone’s needs – it’s about the size of a blueberry. For those who want those sexy fuller lips, a gradual approach and patience are key. What I’m basically saying is, don’t expect to go from non-existent lips to Kylie Jenner status overnight! We like to use one syringe of filler at a time to keep the process safe and achieve a natural look that doesn’t scream “I just got my lips done!”
